01 / Purpose

Three ways we help people stay in education.

Our object is to promote the education of people in full-time education. Trustees follow that object in every grant.

Students

First grants are usually up to £250 for a person who needs materials or help to stay on a course.

Schools

First grants for organisations are usually up to £500, unless there is an invoice or a visit first.

Connections

We help schools, pupils and community groups work together. These local bonds are vital to create a practical, fast support network.

Equal chances to learn and grow together.

What drives this charity is simple. Students should have the same opportunity to learn, take part and develop — not limited by where they live or what their school can afford.

We fund trips, books, meals and classrooms so children in different places can grow together. That fair chance is the reason Hughes Education Charity exists.
